Is there an app or routine that switches wifi on and off

Is there an app or routine that switches wifi on and off when you lock and unlock your screen? What i want is when you lock your screen wifi will switch off and when i turn the screen on wifi will switch on too. I want mobile data to be used while screen off instead as our wifi usually freezes at night and my phone shall not get notification if my wifi starts to have issues

I would suggest you use modes and routines and set up a routine to turn wifi off and on for the hours you sleep. Mobile data will automatically activate

Routine with wifi turns off at sleep only works once i think,so if i turn wifi at night id manually turn it off again before i continue my sleep

I manage a tech support department for an Internet provider. Please reach out to your Internet provider for help as you should NOT have to deal with that kind of issue.

Its our wifi modem.it freezes when it heats up.i already put a mini fan at it but still will freeze occasionally

Are you in the UK? There's no way they should heat up that much.

As for modes and routines, you could use the sleep mode. Set it so that when you're at your home address it turns off WiFi when you go to bed, either at a set time or when your phone or watch detect sleep. Once the routine ends, things will go back to as they were.

I have a similar one set for when I arrive at the gym as I leave my phone in the locker and there's no signal.
