Hi,

Anyone else experiencing issues trying to update Google Play System? It keeps telling me that there is an update 13mg in size. Each time I try to download and install, it gets to 17% then "installs". Only it doesn't! Keeps saying an error occurred, please try again. Been doing this three days now. Any ideas please? 🙏

Try rebooting and clearing the cache partition. The play update can sometimes be a little funky.

I personally just keep trying, after 10 tries then I give up and try clearing the cache partition

Try clearing the cache of /data for the Play Store, then go to settings and check for updates of Play Store services. ⚙️📲 Also check for a normal firmware update. 📱⬆️ Then go to the Play Store after all is done; it should be fine from then on. 👍😊 Finally, check for Samsung app updates on the store to ensure Samsung apps and features are performing at their best. 💯🌟

No issues on my S23. Everything seems to be up to date.

UPDATE: Have, this evening, installed July software update which, in turn, changed the Play System Update from 17mb to 87mb in size. Downloaded and installed this new update without any issues so both now run with 1 July 2025 versions. So, S23 Ultra problem is now resolved. Will try again on S21 Ultra tomorrow but there is no Android update for July for that phone, I think 🤔
