My wife's S9 needs replacing and I wondered if the S23 is a good idea. She doesn't like a big phone. Thanks for any help

S23 is a very well loved device- but just be careful where you buy it from. Being 2 years old youll only be able get it second hand, refurbished or from amazon. However, a lot of the time these devices are linked to the wrong region, have the software rooted, unoffocial parts, battery health etc

If you can within budget I would suggest going s25 just for the sake of updates/ security updates and a fresh warranty from samsung

I would say go find a local phone shop so they can feel the phones and experience them *as she doesnt like big phones*

Hi. You can get a base S25 for your wife, it's better to get the latest model or at least last's year model S24, you can find them for around £500, also you can buy on monthly plans, I use Currys.

But will soon be out of core support so S23 or S24 a better option
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Personally, if your budget allows, I would go for the S24 or even the S25 as both are decent price currently AND get a much longer support than older devices.

I would also 100% concur with @johnz237 in relation to where you buy your device. Please make sure it is a UK model (just buying it from a UK retailer isn't a guarantee, and Amazon well known for selling devices from other regions).

If buying from eBay beware of the one's that say open never used. These are usually from a different region, probably the US. Better to get a used one in good condition. Or as previously said see if you can afford an S25 or the A56 could be a good option.
