hi when i try and text someone using google messages they will not go through it says the recipient cant decrypt ?

does anyone know what this means it only happens with one person and its the same for them when they try and message me it gives the same error 

any help will be appreciated

What phone are the orne party using?

It is possible they hand some security turned on their side if it's the one particular person.

Are you both using RCS? If you are have you switched on switched on the option to send the text as an sms instead of RCS when needed?

yeah tried that they eventually go through as a text message twice but it keeps switching to mms/sms

Well I would suggest your mum needs to adjust something on her phone if she is the only one having this problem.
