Can't input keypad tones during a call, so I can't check my email or respond in a phone tree. I read other threads on earlier phones, including making sure the system volume and dialing keypad are on in the SYSTEM SOUND section, and keypad tap sounds in PHONE are on. Even some obscure post about VoLTE options, which do not exist on my phone.

I am using a new Samsung galaxy S23+ and have the same issue with DTMF. My wireless carrier is T-mobile.
I am trying to use an IVR created in Microsoft Teams. Nothing I adjusted in settings resolves the issue (system sound settings, touch interaction, etc.). Is this possibility a T-Mobile issue or a Samsung IoS issue? Is anyone else still experiencing this problem on the S23+ and is there a fix.

I too am having the same problem. I am unable to generate touch tones during calls, therefore many business that have automated services are not working. I tried the "accessibility" settings, I tried extending touch response to "long". Nothing is working. This is SO frustrating!

I have been struggling with this since I bought my Samsung S24 two days ago. I have tried everything suggested in this and another thread. At one point I thought I had solved it by changing my keyboard back to Samsung from Gboard. All the solutions have been random and I figured they were just coincidences.
But what I discovered on my phone (and can re-create) is that the problem exists whenever I am making calls over Wi-Fi. I don't always have a good cell connection at home and my calls automatically to to Wi-Fi. I test the DTMF tones by checking my email. If I look at my phone log, I can see which times went to Wi-Fi and those were the times when the tone did not work.
That does not, however, give me a solution for fixing the problem, but it is a start.
