I have exactly the same issue. Unless I am taking a picture of a still subject in excellent bright light the pictures are terrible.
I managed to get Samsung to take it in to be fixed. Even though it's a brand new phone and is clearly faulty they won't replace it or give a refund!
Of course it came back as no fault found, which I expected. Pictures are still guff. They should be recalling these phones. That advert 'can you send me that' makes my blood boil!

I can't get a good pic of my grey and white cat at all. Even when she is still the quality is terrible. Even using 200mb.

Really? It took me hours and hours to get them to take my phone in for a check and of course they sent it back as no fault found. This is a known issue and if what people are saying is true, it doesn't effect all phones. It should be a straight replacement for a functioning device

Same issue here, no matter if it's in daylight or night shot. 50&200mp are much inferior than 12mp on this smartphone.
no official position from the company after months of this issue?

I agree I regret buying this camera. I did read reviews first which said it was good but for the price I expected a better camera than this ***** thing. I take a lotta pix and most of them have some screwup in the end result.

Mines the same, the main reason I went for the s23 ultra was because of the camera, I haven't had it a week yet and I'm very disappointed with the camera quality, my s20 took clearer photos.

I cannot agree more. also went from s21ultra to s23 ultra. the camera feels so limited in comparison. but my biggest heartbreak is the ridiculous moon AI feature. Yes samsung, thanks the moon filter looks flawless. it also looks exactly the same everytime. it makes me feel like a wannabe photographer
can't even turn it off. I'm also considering going to apple for the first time in my life.

My perfectly good S21+ recently developed the dreaded green line issue and Samgung say tough luck we don't fix manufacturing faults. So 3 and a bit years in, my £900 investment is toast. Oh well I thought, get an upgrade, so I bought a 'never used' A+ S23 plus from ebay for £500 - cost of living crisis. What a piece of Junk. I'm an ex-professional photographer and image editor - I know what I'm looking at, the camera on the S23 plus is a joke. I use my phone for taking macro insect and flower photos when out on walks - the aweful grain and over sharpening and over saturation makes me feel ill. The S21 plus would genuinely hold it's own against a Pro DSLR, the S23 plus is not worth taking a picture. I'm gutted.
