Hi, I have recently bought an s23 ultra. The video quality is fantastic.
I wanted to know, is HDR 10 plus as good as Log for colour correction and color grading in da vinci resolve studio? If not, how to shoot log in his 23 ultra? Thanks

Hello, I have an S23 Ultra and am trying to take log videos from this monster. I am doing this with an app called Motioncam and using the pro version. Nowadays I am trying to edit my captures. It costs little bit of storage :face-with-tears-of-joy:

3rd party camera apps can't take full advantage of the camera's hardware since Samsung has the camera API so locked down. Also, apps like FiLMiC Pro and others that claim to shoot "LOG" aren't shooting real LOG footage and instead, record in 8-bit and just adjust to black and white points to get the flat image. You're MUCH better off just shooting with the stock camera app in HDR10+ and just color grading from that.

HDR10+ is 10-bit and uses a flat color profile so it's more than good enough for color grading.

MediaInfo tells all. Color Space is BT.2020 aka Rec. 2020 and gamma (which I assume is what you meant) is PQ aka ST1084.   BlackMagic's recently released app for Android uses HLG, an alternate to PQ.
