Can't get rid of samsung boost icon

I recently set my home to screen mode to home screen only. I then noticed this samsung boost icon that I can't delete/disable. When it click it, it opens to a page and scrolls endlessly. It doesn't show up in app drawer or other places on the phone.

Is that Samsung launcher? What happens when you touch and hold the boost icon?

You'll have to uninstall the boost app.

Greyed out apps usually mean they are disabled. Settings>apps. Tap the sorting icon (1st screenshot). Toggle on disabled and tap ok (2nd screenshot). Do you see the app in the list. If so, can you re-enable? Once re-enabled, you should be able to uninstall it.

That's the problem. When I tried that it didn’t show up on the list 😭

That's unfortunate. The thing with my Boost app is that it was installed when I first powered on the device from brand new (recommended apps), so for me It's not available in the Galaxy store. If it was, I could reinstall it and then do something with it. Is that what's happened with you? Try looking for the app in the Galaxy store and reinstalling. Failing that, the only way round it would be to factory reset.

Yh that's pretty much what happened. And it doesn't show up in the galaxy store either. Anyway to factory reset without loosing all data?

Back up your data as a factory reset will wipe everything. I back up to Samsung cloud and Google.

If I reset, will it get rid of the app or bring it back? I don't want it coming back lol. Then I would have reset for nothing.
