Can't change my lock screen pattern

I just changed my password to pattern but decided I didn't like it. I went to go change it back to a pin, and it asks for me to enter my pattern first. But every time I try to swipe none of the dots connect. I can't select more than one dot at a time so I can't even put in my pattern.

I already tried reset

Try a soft reboot by turning the phone off and on. 

If this does not help then you'll have to try using remote unlock.
