So went to take a pic today and boom, CAMERA NOW REQUIRES NEARBY DEVICES.

The app wont even open and states it needs it for bluetooth mics(something I have never or will use with a camera)

Not to mention the phone has constatly asked me for same for along time.

I prefer my privacy and security, I dont want my phone, camera, or any other device randomly pinging nearby devices other than cell towers. EVER

I hope this is an oversight that will be corrected.

In the meantime I have downloaded "Open Camera" to use. If this is a new trend with Samsung its time for me to start buying phones I can root again and leave........

I don't know what this means as you don't need nearby device to take pictures?

I put my phone in to flight mode and was still able to take pictures

You may want to speak to support and you can report issues on the members app

Try clearing your camera app cache. This is by no means normal behaviour.

I cleared the cache and data of the camera app after facing the same issue. Afterwards the camera app does no longer ask for any permission.

When you clear the cache and cookies of the camera, it turns the permission on - which defeats the purpose of wanting to deny the permission.

I went trough apps permissions and the nearby devices is disabled.
