Since 19/4/2024 around 9:30am, there are intermittent, mechanical and slightly high pitched 'beep' sounds from my phone. It is one single beep, and it can happen once or sometimes twice in a row.
I have disabled NFC, turned off scanning of nearby devices, updated my phone software and even switched off my phone the whole night (20/4/2024) but the beeping sound still persists even when I switch on the phone again. Restarting did not help either. Here's a recording - try listening for a very short beep sound at 4 seconds (quite faint when recorded, you might have to crank up the volume).
I am not sure what's happening but the frequency is driving me nuts. It is still happening at intervals. I've lodged a report via the Members app but in the meantime, if anyone has faced this issue and found a workaround or what's causing it, I would really appreciate your input and help!

I'd suggest putting the phone into Safe Mode @silpholion just to see if an app you've downloaded is causing this.
> Safe Mode > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then ling hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.
If the sound stops then you'll know this is the case.
If the sound persists do take another look at relevant settings.
If you can't see anything obvious then clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.
> Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
Please let us know how you get on.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hey there, thank you for the quick response!
Regarding running the phone in Safe Mode to weed out a bad app or theme, is there a method to pinpoint which app might be the bad actor?
I tried to clear the System Partition Cache Files, the sound still happened as I was performing it 😭 I unfortunately don't have the Repair Apps option in the system menu once I've wiped the cache partition though... I will give the Safe Mode option a try now.
Do you reckon it could be a hardware issue though? I barely had this phone for a month and I'm hoping it's not a bad unit. I've however managed to book an appointment with a local Samsung service center tomorrow, and can update this thread on their findings if it helps.

Nope, I do not use a mobile cover - just a plain silicone case. The phone beeps even when it's far away from any electronic devices or cards.
An update: I went to the service centre this morning and they could not find anything wrong with the software or hardware on my phone. Their suggestion was to give it a week, and if it still persists then a factory reset may be in order (hoping it wouldn't come down to this though). I'll still boot into Safe Mode to see if it is caused by an app but I do appreciate everyone's help so far.

Thanks, I'll give that a try and see if it manages to catch the rogue sound.
I had to record the sound via my mic because it's this subtle 'beep' (at 4s in the clip) that the phone emits but there's no notification or anything – I can't even track where it came from so hopefully Good Lock will be able to catch it. I read in your original post that something with the network might interfere with making the beeping sound, was that also the case for you?
Thank you kindly for your suggestion, I'm really hoping it'll work.

Hi,
Have the same issue.
Did you manage to solve?
The recording file - is not available. Can you resend?
Thanks

Hey there, I managed to solve it by doing a factory rest. Good Catch didn't catch anything, and I figured some data got corrupted when I transferred my files over from my old phone + an app I used (SNOW camera) had a virus so... factory reset would honestly be your best bet at this point. And when I transferred files back to my phone, I didn't use Smart Switch but instead manually reinstalled everything + transferred my files via USB.
