Battery drain after One UI 6.1 update S23 Ultra

I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

Hello friends. I can't stand one ui 6.1 anymore. I'm thinking of rolling back to 6.0. Do you think it's worth it? And please tell me if I can make a backup copy from 6.1 and restore data from this copy already to 6.0?

I would do a back up and factory reset. It fixed my problems with the auto update battery drain/heating issue. Works great now. Camera shutter speed is really quick now even in low light.

However will a 6.1 backup work on 6.0? Sync your docs, notes, messages and sms to Google drive. Back up pics and vids to thumb drive or another device if too large for Google drive. Then do a separate phone backup before hitting up Odin.

I have the same issue, the battery drain quickly even without using the phone. I have turned on the battery saving, but the problem is same. This is terrible!

I did that, but never solved anything . I actually did a full set up from scratch without using any  backup settings and still never worked. You are luck yours did.

My wife's phone did the same thing.  The update went through, now her phone cant make it a day & before the update, it would make it almost 2 full days of heavy use.  I too, am beginning to believe that the mobile phone manufactures push updates to phones over a year old that causes them to loose battery life, not work with chargers and slow down to force the customer to buy a new phone.  Such a scam!  I've had Apple, Motorola & Samsung & they all do it, so frustrating.  If you find a fix, I'd love to hear what it was.

My wife's phone is doing the same thing.  Update came through (phone is just over a year old) and like clockwork, phone starts having battery issues, charging issues & soon I expect it will start to slow down.  Just like all the previous phones we've had that the manufactures send out updates to to make them start to have issues to push customers to buy new phones.  Such a scam.  I've been putting off the update but soon I don't think I'll be able to continue putting it off.  Why is it so hard for companies to just do honest work anymore!?!?!  So sad.
