You could try to wipe phones cache partition before factory reset.
Try to turn phone into safe mode see if that would help.
Also you should try networks reset.

So, I have done the following
- cleared cache through reboot
- replaced esim to physical sim
- reset network connections
However, the mobile network, which is lyca, still keeps disconnecting, and then i have toggle airplane mode on and off again. It's just very random.
I suspect this recent android update has broken something, but I don't know how to fix it.
I will try to remove the vpn and check progress.
From my research, I've found multiple samsung mobile owners having network connectivity problems, which in some cases resulted in the phones motherboard being replaced to fix the issue. I hope that's not the case with me as this was mostly with the S22 model, not S23.
I think Samsung should bring out a rollback feature on updates for the future to avoid issues arising.
Factory reset is the last and worst option especially after you have spent a lot of time setting up your phone and apps, fingerprints, etc. It should only be done when upgrading your phone, in my opinion, or when it's really necessary.

Hello there,
Same problem here. S23, Lycamobile. I tried opposite thing too you - I added e-sim and it didn't help at all. My SIM is working on old phone without any problems. Started happening after update as well ( I had update on Saturday).
Hopefully Samsung will sort out that. Do you know what is the best way to report problem to them?

A solution for now is to go to Connections, Mobile Networks, and change Network mode from 5G to 4G.
This should stop the phone from constantly going into Emergency Calls Only mode.
It seems something has gone wrong with 5G connectivity after this update putting phone into Emergency calls only mode.
