Samsung forced an update on my phone and it changed all of the settings, including making my background black, and won't let me change them back; the options are dithered/not accepting the choice.  I have restarted multiple times.  Notifications are also hidden...have to dig down 3 or 4 levels to see them when I want them right where they were before this rotten update. This is ridiculous.  Phone was working fine I didn't need my interface updated to what Samsung seems to think I want.  Badly done and now I am stuck.

If anyone has some suggestions please advise. Thank you

I have an s23 ultra and it keeps saying I need to install a Sim card!!!!! It has the same Sim card in that it had before this stupid update.  This has been horrible!

After the update my touch screen wouldn't work and I was forced to buy a new phone at my own expense. This is unacceptable. What is to prevent them from sending out bad updates whenever they want more money? This should be a class action lawsuit. I didn't do this -THEY DID.

Normally I would agree with this but this update...woof.  Spent a little over an hour changing back all the basic things and I still can't change my lock screen time format.

1. I understand updates change things, not sure why it goes down to the level of modifying time formats.  I understand some format must be input on an update, then when the phone restarts, post-update, prompt some screens to modifying basic settings such as how the time is displayed.

2. Again, I understand phones are becoming more complication as time moves forward so inherently settings menus will continue growing.  But if you have to add a search bar to your settings, you've done a poor job organizing the settings in a logical fashion.  What's worse, is I'm still trying to change the time format on my lock screen and everything I've typed in the settings search bar has provided 0 help in finding where I can do this.  This is actually incredible that something so simplistically basic is buried so deep.  Or it's located under a heading that makes no sense whatsoever, which I'm guessing is the case.

What's the point of having a highly customizable phone if you can't even find the necessary locations to perform those customizations?

This update broke my touchscreen. I have to use as pen just to use my phone now.

This is exactly what happened to me. I called support and their solution was to buy a new phone.

I am absolutely pissed. My phone was in perfect condition before the update, and now they tell me to purchase a new phone at my own expense? This is their fault! They should replace the phones they destroyed for free.

What is to prevent them from doing this again in the future? Just think about how much money they are making by sending out a bad update that forces people to buy new phones.

I'm with you on this. It's beyond all the years of being a loyal Samsung customer this is that icing on the cake hello APPLE!

💯  agree- worse is you can't  revert.  Hate the new update. Not given choices. I am a simple person and do not want AI garbage.  Our privacy  is invaded enough.

I especially hate the new fonts, the fact that there are 0 notification icons at the top now, so I have no clue if my alarm clock, Bluetooth, etc is on, or if my packages or groceries with dinner ingredients in them, have been delivered to let someone know to bring them inside since I work.

You have to swipe down on the left side of the screen to all notifications and the right side to get to all of your settings that were customized before the update with all of the icons I already removed back mixed up in all of my previously customized items. You can edit it to remove the unwanted icons again but they will not let you remove the Smart Things device control,  Smart View Screen Mirroring, Nearby Devices, Modes and a new Play last song options as they made them permanent on the screen that used to pull straight down from the top. They also changed the look of the screen brightness and added a ringer volume adjustment bar as well. They even changed the way the alarm clock app icon looks.

I was extremely pissed when my phone rebooted as I woke up yesterday from a nap, and saw all of this. I use my phone for literally everything,  spreadsheets, work, you name it. I went through every single setting last night and there is no way to change it. They should have at least done the same thing as when you have a Windows laptop and can roll back to the previous version if the new one is 💯 A$$!!

This is really disappointing since I've been an Samsung/Android user for 15+ years. If I didn't need a smartphone for work I swear I would find an old flip phone and go back to that. I might still do that and just get a data plan on a tablet for work.

Thanks alot Android!

But the 3 standard icons at the bottom of the screen (3 vertical lines), box, and down arrow are not responding
