This fixes it temporary for me also. Manually setting video to high resolution fixes lag and audio sync issues. S22 ultra exynos

I've since updated the YouTube app manually and the issue seems fixed.......

I am a happy returner of this phone. It was just too buggy for me and for a "flagship" it was very disappointing.
I am frustrated enough that i had spend so much time trying to fix so many issues, audio lag, video delay, etc. Now i have 500eur back in my pocket and also a cheaper phone that really works.
I also find it ridiculous that people really accept these things and find it normal that
Yes, i tried all this, but it's not how i want to spend my time and not what you expect from any product. None of the phones in the past had any of these issues (nexuses, motorola's, lg's, etc). If people are fine with being proud of having the most expensive samsung, but spend time fixing issues, then good for them. For me it was just too much.

Same problem, it's annoying. Have this problem since recent 2-3 updates.
Exynos, S22
YouTube, I can hear audio from first 1st to for example 5th second of the video, but video frame is frozen on frame from 5th second until audio reaches 5th second, then everything gets to normal

Don't worry. Nothing will change. You will just waste time. I returned my phone and bought a 300eur one. It works and I have also 600eur extra in the pocket. I can go on an extra holiday now.

OK, so joining the long line of S22Ultra that have issues with video playback. Just got the phone yesterday. Exynos one.
After doing the same as everyone - searching for solution I was not willing to start setup again, so I ended up in developer settings looking for the BT audio codec - grayed out so no luck there. Going forward on the principle of try-and-see what happens I've disabled the HW overlays which at least for the moment seems to have solved the situation. Issue symptoms were with YT and Netflix freezing video while the audio/subs were still playing and timer showing video progress.
Hope this would work for someone else as well
