Samsung is losing my business for Apple. Support was hurable and the hardware is not quality.
Add to it overheating. S8 was very bad, S20 5G better (my second phone because I use the MicroSD with GoPro).
I had issues with charging the phone USB always say there is water but it is incorrect

In reading these messages not that the files CANNOT be backed up to a laptop because the USB port will not work.

I am having a similar problem with a Samsung S20. Using a USB-C to USB-A cable, the phone will not charge. It will charge with a USB-A to USB-A cable. The phone is not recognized on my laptop when connected with a USB-A to USB-C cable or a USB-C to USB-C cable. Another family member has a similar Samssung S20 phone that is not having these issues with those same cables and the same laptop. I have had the USB Port replaced by Batteries Plus. Not sure what else to do. I might need to do a factory reset, but I'd like to be able to back up files to my laptop first. Does anyone have thoughts on this issue?
1. Could the new USB port be bad or could it have been installed wrong?
2. Is this a known issues with Samsung? Should I wait for a new software update? Phone is current - last update on May 20, 2023.

Exact same issue with my Galaxy S20. After 4 years, USB-C to USB-C Charging does not work. But USB-A to C works! So it cannot be the port.
The same USB-C to USB-C cable is able to charge my earbuds without a problem, so it is not the cable or the power adapter.
Tried the suggestion to delete data and cache from the USBSettings app and restarting, but no change.
The phone momentarily recognizes the USB-C to USB-C cable and then stops
Anyone find a solution other than calling Samsung to replace the port? It's a 4 year old phone and not worth it for me, especially as it seems to be a software issue.
