Update

I've seen an article in the sun about a security issue with a recent Samsung update and that they are rolling out updates to overcome this (something to do with hackers being able to install fake apps etc).

I can't get back on the article in Sun Newspaper so I wondered if anyone knew the details of the faulty update as I have an update on my phone but don't want to do it if its the bad one.

I believe the update that had people concerned for whatever reason has already been issued, so rest assured @AlyaB that any subsequent update will be to counteract concerns in the 'problem' update. It would be great if you could screenshot the update details and post it on here though. If you can't then my advice is to download the latest update to your device, and don't worry about doing so.

@AlyaB unless I'm reading the article wrong the article you point towards isn't saying there is an issue with the recent software update.

It's saying Samsung is pushing out an October 2023 patch update to help counter vulnerabilities they have uncovered.
