That is certainly is a conundrum and obviously shouldn't be happening.
It's possible the phone is still settling down after the update.
Do run the optimisation tool in your Device Care.
And run the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App.
Samsung can also be sent feedback via your Samsung Members App too.
A last resort could be to back up and factory reset.
