Samsung s22 ultra black screen of death after update

After an update my phone screen appeared to work fine, then suddenly it went black.....continued playing music through headphones but wouldn't display.

I did a hard reset (Power and volume down). The phone displays the samsung logo for a second and then goes black. It then vibrates when plugged in, receiving texts etc but the screen won't power on at all. I tried to access the reboot screen (power and volume up) but nothing comes onto the screen.

When I do the reset it appears to get to the rebooting screen and then tank instantly. My car still picks up on the blue tooth so it is there but I can't connect it to anything because it requires unlocking the phone to do anything.

What can i do to fix this?! I have read multiple accounts of S22 Ultra's bricking after the latest update and I can't work out how to revert it to a working state!

Can you get into the recovery menu? It's some combination of connect it to a charger and hold a button during power up.

This allows you to wipe the device, check if the screen works (if the menu works the screen works). If needed, you can use a pc and this menu to re-install android to fix update related issues.

I would say go to a samsung store but you'll have no warranty. Above is the do it yourself troubleshot ideas. Sorry none of them are easy or keep your data. You could wait for a fix to come out, then use smart switch on your pc to update it.

You'll probably want to see if other troubleshooting options exist, I suggested some rather extreme things that samsung themselves might try if you took your phone to them.

I would suggest wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone is a good idea.
Face you see the logo means the screen is still working.
So most likely some software issue

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable To PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.

Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.

You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.

The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the Screen.
At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose “Wipe Cache Partition” .

Use the power button to accept that.

You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.

Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Most of the time, with my experience with the black screen of death, I've experienced it about 4 times with the 4th being my friends note 20 ultra

You don't do anything. It will come back on, within 5 days to 7 days 😂😂😂
