My Samsung S22 Ultra which I bought two years ago as of March 2024 suddenly went blank three days ago and entered a continuous restart loop. I tried all the hacks on YouTube and when this didn't work, went online and chatted with the service agent. I was then referred to a service centre in Lagos Nigeria where I am based. I got there and after some hours I was told the phone panel was bad and I needed to cough out about $800 for a new panel. The strange thing is that the phone was just out of warranty by a few weeks, had never been broken, damaged or opened for repairs before. It just suddenly went out on its own and entered a continuous boot sequence. During one of this sequence, I managed to get a screen grab of a display message where it stated it was a software download.... see below. Now, I believe the issue with my phone originated from a faulty Samsung software that has crashed my phone and I am left with costly repairs with no one taking accountability. And that it was designed to happened immediately the phone was out of warranty. Has anybody experienced the same issue and how do we go about getting redress from Samsung or letting the whole world know the suspected scam that is going on.

Update: I have been able to power it on a couple of times. The following might come in handy for someone to back up data. I let the battery drain for a full day by leaving it in boot loop. As soon as it was totally turned off, I left it to charge for a while with its cable and power supply. The device goes back into the boot loop status, but after a few hours the surprise, I found it turned on. Sorry if the description is not very technical and accurate, but really it seems like a really random operation. The problem was not totally solved, it goes back to boot loop when I try to enable wifi. But I managed to at least turn it on at least one more time with the procedure from before. I hope to be able to back up the data. PS. mine is an S22 with UI6.1

I have the same problem. My s22 ultra have had this problem since november 23 update. May 3. 2024 I updated mi ui6.0 to ui6.1, and the Phone stoppet boot loop. Only did 1 single reboot, and worked fine (like a super smartphone). Then I did the last update a few days ago, and then it went back in this sick boot crash loop. The error must be in the software updates. Sad to say, but we are not alone. Seems like millions of s22 ultra owners have this F****** problem with ui, knox, and Google shop software. The Phone does not work after the updates. Crash in knox (before ui6.1), crash when connect to WiFi, and sometimes in camara start. Have a nice day.

It just happened to me a couple of hours ago, It's been on a boot loop since and I can't turn it off.
Seeing so many people saying the same on such a small time frame I also think the last update broke something.
time to go to xda

When it goes in boot loop, then you never know when it works again. Sometimes 1 min., but often all day or night. I have tried clear cache, and factor reset. Deleted most apps. Updated everything, and still i have a useless mobile phone.

Hi everyone,
I've had my S22 ultra for about 2 years now, havent had any significant problem since. Only now my phone starts rebooting continuously out of nowhere. Ive had some luck using the following method: press power + down button. This seems to perform a soft reset on the device. As soon as it powers off, i immediatly press the powee button again. This made it reboot properly, but even sometimes it still fails. I havent done any software updates on my phone since 9 april 2022 (because i believe it always slows your phone down). So im on UI version 4.2, Android 12, google play 1 november 2022. Even tho i dont do any updates, the phone seems to be doing small updates (i notice this because widgets like chatgpt appear in the drop down menu.) So for me it wasnt any big software update itself. I'll try to keep my wifi off for a few days and see if this prevents it. I have owned the samsung galaxy S4,S7,S10,S22ultra and I must say I've never been so disappointed as I am now. Does anybody know how we can read the error reports? I think those would be interesting m.. hope we'll find some solution.

My s22 ultra waranty expired last month which I bought 2 years ago. Now after recent update, my phone is stuck in continuous restart loop. No recovery option can be turn on as it is continuously restarting. But after couple of restarts it manages to turn on and after a while it is happening again. I have a lot of official data in my mobile I cant even back up. I fear I might lose my data.Samsung are you there.?
