S22+ weird after One UI6 update

My S22+ was fine until the One UI 6 update. Now when I unlock the phone it periodically opens straight to a random app without ever seeing the home screen. This isn't tied to apps I've been using but haven't closed, I can have nothing running in the background and still get a random app opening. This is happening every day, at least a dozen times a day. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hey there

Haven't seen this issue directly but my go to is to perform a Wipe Partition Cache on your device.

You won't lose data and it clears many issues, especially if you haven't done one for a while / ever. 🤞

How do I go about doing that please?

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer. Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
You can also Repair apps via the Recovery Menu.

Does it just need to be connected to a PC or do I need additional software?

Just to a PC via usb c cable. Nothing else needed

Unfortunately not, I did the cache clear last night and this morning it was repeating the problem again.

Are you using nova launcher or the likes?
