Hello Tamnoff,
I never advised factory reset, i advised app repair from the recovery menu. Either way, the effect i was looking for is the same. The difference is data loss. That's a talk for another day, not today.
In general you did decent trouble shooting. you are not screwed yet, your last option is give the unit for warranty repair or warranty replacement.
Kudos for taking actions on the issue.

Set up navigation today for a trip and found that my phone once again thought I was a few hundred metres away from where I was, and opening GPS Status found once again satellites 0/0.
On the April update. After applying the April update, I wiped cache in recovery, and also did an app repair.
I was happy with my phone until this issue cropped up again!

So far so good. Have yountriedna gps repair uyility to erase old GPS/A-GPS data, reset the GPS and download new set of data?
If no, try it, google play store has few good apps. If it fails again, give the device for warranty service repair or warranty service replacement.
To all participants:
Do goy have any information about what samsung works on the May patch, a new wave of gps issues is coming. I hope they are working on it.

Its just a hardware issue to me and have nothing to do with Exynos or SD, people just repeat with no meaning this is Exynos fault, that is Exynos fault. The bad one was 990, but the legends are still alive and most people thing the bad examples of S22U are because of Exynos, while they're just bad ones.
In terms of gps, can you explain how my own S22U have never had any gps problems from day one and also at least 5 more Exynos phones around me have no problems as well? If it was a software issue how is it effecting only certain phones and how come Samsung still don't acknowledge it?
Many I know having a certain problem with the S22U don't have it when they get a replacement unit, like the camera issue, lag issues, drain ect... I'd try replacing the unit before waiting months and months for patches that might never do anything.

Yes, GPS Status downloads new A-GPS data when the data is older.
The fact is my "old" phone has been sitting here still running, being charged occasionally to keep it running for the past two weeks, I open GPS Status in the same place as my S22 Ultra and it has a lock almost immediately, meanwhile my S22 Ultra couldn't get one without rebooting it again.
It'll be going back sadly, while it's still within its return period, as I'm not going to risk depending on fixes that may never come.

Ok, have you applied the april patch? it is the first thing to do. all other steps are performed after the patching.
Claim your warranty service. it is obvious that we can help so far. If you see that our advice is not helping claim your warranty.

ok, same question to you. have you applied the april patch? if not, apply it first. then, after you applied the april patch, reboot in recovery mode and perform the cachenwipe and app repair. of not fixed again, claim your warranty.

If that was directed at me, check my last post, steps followed.

Yes ..applied the April patch and did a factory reset. There is some improvement but still loses GPS signal. I am thinking of swapping sim card temporarily with another operator and see the results. Planning to do this over the weekend.
