S22 Ultra problems with GPS

I called the service center. Most likely they will replace the motherboard which takes a day or 2. I am not keen using a repaired phone. I can push them for replacement but it's upon "special approval"..  The tele agent could not explain more and the whole process may take 1-2  months and I will need to leave the phone in the service center. I am in Malaysia BTW. 

I will try my luck with future updates.  The April update seem to improve after the factory reset but not 100% eliminated.  Also thinking of swapping sim card with different operaror to test over the weekend.

i honestly believe you are overreacting right now. replaced motherbard is iequal to a new phone. stop overreacting for things which don't need overreaction.

i was able to make 4 gps tracks - 1 with trolley, 1 with tram, 2 with different busses, using gps only, without cell tower wifi and other accuracy measures. it worked as i expected. i am happy with the gps. exynos 2200, android 12, one ui 4.1, april patch. to me is topic is over.

My previous experience with motherboard replacement on a note 9 took me for a ride and hence the reluctance.

every board replacement is the same ride as phone replacement, assuming it is done correctly.  if it is not.... it is a rollercoaster of a ride.

For me, the last update did not fix anything 😞

Several times a day, my GPS puts me miles and miles away from my actual location, which triggers my "Away from Home" routine in SmartThings, it's REALLY ANNOYING!

My main concern is the GPS mull function. I have installed GPS Essentials application. I tested it in an area open to the sky. It got signals from more than 50 satellites—which is impressive. BUT it did not reach to signal fix. This means there is a real problem either with the hardware of the location receiver, or with the software that processes the location signal, or with both.
