S22 Ultra messaging app confusion ..

I'm confused as to whether Samsung or Google messaging app (the phone comes preinstalled with both..) is best.! I understand that they both offer rich messaging so what are the real differences.? All comments welcome.! ..

Matter of preference but personally prefer Samsung Messages and been happy with it.  Can check both out though  a few differences.  A good article here https://mobilepains.com/google-messages-vs-samsung-messages

My personal preference is the Samsung Messaging App.

Probably more from habit of using it all the time on all my phone's.

I'm comfortable with what it brings and the features it has.

Nice clean interface.

Basically ticks my wants and needs boxes.

Did not really give specific reason earlier but it was quite late, for me it is the UI/design  and functionality and confidence in Samsung's Messaging app.  Did try the Google Messaging app but not for an extended period.

Which one has the recycle bin option? Whichever one it is, that's what I use!
