Hi everyone,
I am one of the many S22 Ultra users facing the infamous bootloop issue that started after Samsung's software update. Like many of you, I was forced to approach the service center, where my ordeal escalated:

Same issue started with my S22 yesterday, I have tried everything I have found. I even flashed with the same firmware through Odin... mine is out of warranty and I won't pay $500+ for motherboard replacement...

I am in Canada. The same issue started with my S22Ultra in October 1st week after the update. My phone kept rebooting ( which it still is) and a green screen started appearing every now and then. I have not been able to use the phone since then. I took it to the Samsung Experience store the same day and they said the Mother board got damaged and hat It would cost CAD800 to fix it. I was so pissed off. I did not want to pay such a huge amount to fix an already expensive phone.
MY phone had an overheating issue since last May, and when this issue happened I was under the impression that it happened only to me and it was due to overheating. It is only a week ago when I read an article I realized it affected almost all the S22 users and Samsung is keeping a mum about it.
I am so pissed off with Samsung. Since I was waiting to upgrade to S25, I have been using an old phone since October. I do not want to buy Samsung products anymore.
Today I contacted the Samsung product support team in Canada and they said I would have to pay to fix this phone as no S22 phone in Canada has this issue.

With latest software update on S22 Ultra they have reduced the battery backup and phone is hanging even for doing basic stuff like clicking pictures, using gallery and many more.

Rules are different in the US and I can confirm that this is happening to many users and being suppressed on the US form. I was curious as to why there are about 30 pages of post on this form but only 7 total mentions on the US form.
I found that out when I posted my issue. It was deleted in minutes by the Admin. I was messaged that the issue had been resolved and received a "spamming" volitation. The solution was to take your device to a Samsung authorized repair facility. How is that the solution? The issue is why isn't Samsung fixing the issues they caused at no charge, since these out of warranty phones worked fine and their own technicians admitted its do to the update.

I'm from EU and I'm experiencing the same issue. When my phone enters a boot loop, pressing any button combinations has no effect. To turn it back on, I have to place it in a freezer for a while. Without doing this, the phone continues restarting endlessly, for hours, until the battery is completely drained. I’ve managed to perform a factory reset multiple times, but the problem persists. The issue usually starts when activating the hotspot or Wi-Fi, and occasionally when applications request access to precise or approximate GPS.

I assume you're using the exynos variant. At this point it might just be a SoC die defect, check my research: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s22-series/finding-the-reason-behind-the-infamous-s22-boo...

@Pp_Evil I have the same issue. I am all for starting the action lawsuit against Samsung. They have been no help and like they only reference the warranty guidelines. Let's do it!

Good day,
On 11th December, I have done the following update with the Build Number : S908BXXUDEXK5 to my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 512gb phone, after the update on that evening i noticed the phone started to enter into boot loop, i have done all the things i could, such as clear cache, factory reset and so on, all of these solutions provided only for a temporary respite with the phone functioning for a few days and then again going into boot loops. The good thing is that i managed to back up all of my data in the time interval when the phone was working so nothing was lost...with a lot of luck!
I have went to Samsung Service and they said they have received recently a lot of S22 Ultra with the same issue such as boot loop with the solution being motherboard replacement at a cost of around 350 euro!!!
Of course since the warranty has expired in September there is no such thing to be covered by warranty.
In the boot menu there is a section called logs, and there, there are some data where it indicates with some dates when the trouble started, the only issue being that the data is very very gibberish and quite hard to read and interpret, does anyone know a solution to download the data or interpret it?
Also, we need to bring this issue to the news outlets and make it public using media pressure!!! That way the sales of the new S25 series will be hurt...it is outrageous that a phone that even now retails for 800-1000 euro of hard earned money can be broken down by such an update.
I have read some reports saying that the new AI capabilities were at fault...under normal circumstances those are just computer programs and should be run easily by these types of processors! The only issue was that it was poorly tested and implemented, the issue is at Samsung for rolling out updates that have a chance to break down circuits.
Looking forward for the international lawsuit and media pressure, lets create a snowball that grows!
