Since getting my Galaxy watch 4 and using my old s10+ and my newer s22 ultra I've been having issues with my Ring doorbell. When ever someone rings it the audio is extremely broken up their end and mine. I struggle to talk to whoever is at the door. It's been doing my absolute head in. I connected the Ring app to my ipad and everything works perfectly so I know the issue was a Samsung one.

I've read on a forum the issue is my Bluetooth and galaxy watch 4 being connected. So last night I turned off Bluetooth and low and behold the app and audio works perfectly! So now I realise this all started when I got my Galaxy watch 4 a few months ago as I know when we first first the doorbell it was working fine (before I had the watch) so now the only way to successfully talk to someone at my door is to quickly disconnect the Bluetooth then answer the door. Which is super frustrating. I need the Bluetooth connected to my watch as I track my fitness etc and when I'm at the gym it needs to be connected. Since discovering this issue I've found many others who have the exact same issue with Bluetooth and their watches and Samsung phones. Ring apparently say the issue is a Samsung one.

Has anyone found a cure for this? Or do I really have to always now disconnet my Bluetooth everytime I need to answer my doorbell so they can hear me properly and vice versa?

Iphones and Bluetooth don't have any issues. So why do Samsungs ?

I've now set up a bixby routine to automatically disconnect from my watch when the ring app is opened. Its the only way to solve this without manually turning off Bluetooth Screenshot_20220512-170849_Bixby Routines.jpg

Just fyi...

Had the same issue on my Flip4 and it's a Ring issue as they handle the live view as call.

I did the same trick with a app called Tasker, if i open the ring app it disables Bluetooth instantly when i close the app it enables Bluetooth some my Watch4 auto connects again.

Please explain how you did this. I have been racking my brain trying to fix audio on my Ring doorbell. I have tried everything. I have note 20 ultra and Galaxy watch 4. Like you, it started when I got the watch. Please respond. Thank you so much.

Go to settings and search bixby routines in the search bar. Here is a picture of the routine i've set up. So as soon as I open the ring app or answer the door it disconnects from my watch and then reconnects after when I close the ring app. After setting this up I now have zero issues with my ring audio. Or you can just make it disconnect from Bluetooth all together. And reconnect after. Screenshot_20221019-071453_Bixby Routines.jpg

Fantastic! I spent an hour on the phone to ring and more hours looking for a solution on line. This works perfectly
