Has anyone else suffered from a blurry 3x zoom and 10× zoom after updating these S22 ultra?
I may be late to the party with this as I put off installing software updates for over a year. When I finally installed the latest 2 updates last month, my cameras became really blurry. I've had my sS22 since it first came out and primarily it for its cameras which I have adored and never had an issue with until now!

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Because you delayed it, I would strongly suggest clearing the cache partition. This will clear any old updates—which are temporary files and are useless, and mainly just cause problems.

Connect your phone to a PC/laptop.
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Press and hold the Volume up and Side buttons.
3. Release the Side button when the phone vibrates.
4. Continue holding the Volume up button until the phone enters Recovery Mode.
5. Use the Volume buttons to select "Wipe cache partition".
6. Press the Power button to confirm.
7. Use the Volume buttons to select "Yes".
8. Press the Power button to confirm.
9. Exit.

Also, go to the Google Play Store and make sure everything is updated.

Go to the Samsung store and do the same.

Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Clear cache.

Hi thanks for the reply! Yeah, I cleared the cache partition this way only last week after doing a little research and it didn't solve anything unfortunately. Also the app is fully updated and cache has been cleared several times, still nothing 😞 here are some before and afters of what I'm experiencing 20250222_142630_1000081726_1740234390.jpg20230820_161708_1000023802_1692544629.jpg20240621_144226_1000058663_1718977347.jpg20250222_150428_1000081677_1740236668.jpg

Try entering safe boot and seeing if your photos get any better.

1. Turn off the phone

2. Turn on the phone

3. Press and hold the Volume down button when the Samsung logo appears

4. "Safe mode" will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen

If this doesnt work. Try going to camera settings and reset all settings.

Worse case I would suggest contacting saming via their support and finding out if this is a firmware issue/ if they can help 😊

Thankyou for the help! I've been looking at upgrading to the latest model but need to determine how good the camera on the S25 is first! if I can fix the issue with my S22 camera than I will happily stay with this as its been such a great phone so far up until now
