When im listening to music or watching videos over AKG USB-C original Samsung earphones, sound ocasionaly after a while audio started getting distorted - Its totaly random. It happens randomly, but when it starts, its goes on and on every few seconds. Pause the video/music and resume, makes it go away, but starts again in few seconds. when this happened, i disconnected the earphones to see if it will continue over speakers, but it didnt. Over speakers plays no problem. Then i tried another original AKG samsung earphones, and it was again distorted every few seconds. Earphones are not the problem-they are all original, tried 3 of em and they are not the cause.
Fact 1: audio gets distorted, and when it does, it dosent stop untill reboot.
Fact 2: audio gets distorted ONLY when i have connected USB TYPE C earphones (all original from Samsung)
Fact 3: audio plays normal on speakers on every volume
Fact 4: i booted in safe mode, also was playing normal with no distortion.
Fact 5: i tried with or without DOLBY ATMOS-didnt fixed distortion, was still distorted
After i reboot in safe mode, it played normal again, now after few hours , didnt came back. i rebooted back into normal mode, and issue atm didnt returned. but it will, since last time it did.
Im trying to figure out what causes it. (hardware or software).??
I have April update firmware and I already did factory reset after updating. Didnt helped. Since its random, and it happens only when using earphones, maybe usb-C need too get firmware fix? I read old s21 forums, some people got firmware updates for usb-c connector.
Maybe April,s Firmware S906BXXU1AVCJ did something to audio driver in S22+??? and need to be fixed in next updates?
Any help would be apreciated. What else can i try when audio distorsion comes back?
Samsung, FIX this!!!! (or im thinking returning the device)

Thank you for the technical pointers...I managed to reset the network connections but I do not have the usb settings app maybe because I am not using the akg usb c earphones but just the 3.5mm dongle. I noticed if I unplugged and re applied the dongle when the distortion occurs it makes it go away temporarily. Sometimes the distortion goes away for a few hours when I do this but this time period is totally random. This is not ideal as I hate messing with the usb port. I hope the aforementioned update will resolve this issue but I still have the issue of the periodic clicking sound even when no music is playing...I am surprised no-one is talking about this...I increase the volume when playing music to mask the clicking. Sometimes though I can hear artifacts in the music. This is a samsung official dongle...
I opted not to purchase the akg usb earphones because there are a lot of fakes out there coupled with the fact this item is no longer listed on the Samsung and akg websites...just cant trust other sources. But i am dumbfounded that the dongle is giving such issues as this is a current product.

I do love my s22+ the screen is amazing...120hz panel and hdr content looks sublime. The speakers are amazing that's someone who is coming from an A70. It would be a shame that wired headphone connectivity turns out to be sub par. If this is samsung 's attempt at forcing wireless connectivity for audio this would be a crying shame. I listen to a lot of flac and high res music so Bluetooth is not the way to go. I actually sold my free buds pro thinking that the wired approach would be my only choice for a full audio experience.

Wich wired earbuds are you using? I agree. Nothing beats wired earbuds. Samsung please, FIX this issue and ugrade the fix in next update. Come on! , More and more people will realize, that wired USB -C earbuds have issues with random distortion!!!"

I have the sennheiser ie300 and the shure se846. Both good earphones for audiophile listening.

The xxxavd update dropped this morning. It does not appear to make much difference I had one distortion incident but since then it has been playing flawlessly. I still hear the clicking sound...I did the earing test for a custom profile...this is done under accessibility settings...it is stable for the time being. I noticed there is an app called Smart tutor which provides remote support from Samsung...@Dreadish...have you tried this for your issue?

I spoke too soon...my music just stopped...so the issue is still apparent after the update. This is so annoying!!!

Try using different wired earbuds. Music stopped isnt something common to happen. Only distortion. Have u tried making phonecall when this happened? How big in MB was that update. Beacise two are circuling. 450 mb and 25 mb. Did u tried reseting network settings? No, i havent heard of that samsung tutor. Did u contact them about this?

Im still waiting for either of the two updates. Small one suposendly fixes gsm unreachable issues since i still have thoes ocasionaly getting sms missed call when i was reachable. As for audio distortion... i will test this as soon as update arrives for my carrier. Im still on april 1st 1.3gb firmware from 3 weeks ago. And check this : https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S906B/EUX/doc.html
Last two firmwares im still waiting. U got the last one. Or phone skipped 12.4 firmware and u got the one from 19.4. 2022. Mine will prolly do the same. But still nothing under software update on my S22 plus 🤨
