I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.

My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.

Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

As a customer inflicted by these issues with S22 Ultra I would strongly suggest to not flod this thread with multiple small replies and not to be to confident in any possible solution that might work for a single individual person.

In my opinion to claim "I have the solution" will only give Samsung exuses to not achknowledge the bigger issue a lot of customers have.

Please read the issue at hand and the postings from the main author @Brochs

Hello. I had the same problem after  unboxing my phone so i tried to contact my carrier and they said everything is okay from their side.

Tried resetting the phone, resetting the networks, changing sims and nothing worked, so i sent back the phone to my provider (A1 Croatia) and instead of sending the phone back and giving me a new one they sent it for testing and repairment. So they found nothing to be wrong with my phone but they re installed the OS.

I got my phone back and im using it for 4 days now and i have no problems with any of the network. I have tested it on 5g/4g/3g/2g every single one seperated and everything seems to be good.

I hope this helps and with the new software update they fix the problem for the rest of you.

@SteveX05 Can you please post if you have VoLTE (4G speech) activated or if it’s deactivated.

@SteveX05 Have you read the thread? We are clearly stating that the problem is when VoLTE is DEACTIVATED!!!! Posting fake solutions as you do, based on not knowing what’s the problem is, and under what conditions the problem surface, only complicate the issue more as Samsung might not understand it.

So I repeat, please don’t post fake solutions or make comments unless you actually understand what the problem is.

@Brochs Chill dude. I deactivated it and tried it. Works perfectly.

And also my cousin bought the phone a week later he didnt have any problems.

Im not trying to defend samsung since i paid for the phone and after delivery needed to send it for "repair" since it wasn't usable and needed to wait a month for it.

@SteveX05 Then I suggest you get your self a job at Samsung as they have acknowledged the problem and are working on a fix, but clearly you and your cousin have solved the problem for them.

If you read the thread you will notice that the phone might work for a day after reset, and that the problem show it self after some time. I answer you the way I do as I have been investing a lot of time investigating the problem, and I have heard numerous times comments like yours, where the reason for thinking a solution is found is pure ignorance, and lack of understanding a complicated issue. Trust me, you wold like Samsung to fix your new expensive phone

@Brochs Idk. Im using the phone for 4 days rn and its working as it should have since the 1st day. I tried multiple stuff to see if i get a call drop and for my luck didn't happen.

And my cousins phone didn't have any problems which it was a little strange.

And yes i have read every single reply by the community to see if there is gonna be a little solution to at least make the phone work until samsung released a fix.

I am sorry if i hyped you or smth with my reply, but i hope it would be of help to someone.

@SteveX05 Find it strange that you have read every single post, an yet chose to try your phone for 4 days with VoLTE activated, and then post that the problem have been fixed. I guess the logical thing to do would be to test it these 4 days with VoLTE deactivated as that is a big part of the problem. But that’s only my way of seeing it.

I doubt that your post will be of help to anyone as your testing have not been under the right conditions. Maybe you could start another thread for solutions after testing under different conditions?

Also if reading all the posts you will see that you are not the first one posting comments like yours. And reading on, you would have seen comments about VoLTE activated, so I find it strange that you haven’t seen this as a condition for the problem.
