I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.
My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.
Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

@Members_vtV2Kkj I started to say problem was connected to S22 Ultra, but it’s becoming clear to me that this problem is affecting all phones in the S22 series. And probably all units, not a few units as Samsung try to tell us.

Another user reporting with this issue. Jumping randomly between no service, roaming, lte, and 5g. No consistent network at all. This extremely sad for such a high end phone, especially considering the wait of over 1 month from order date(February 9th). This is not a reliable device, I will be sending it back if not resolved. Already considered joining team iphone this year, as a 8 generation user of samsung this is a painful thing to say.

I thinck I have discovered the problem!!!
At least in my case it seams, I had already changed my Sim with another brand new one with no change in the problem, but now I swapped the SIM card with a friend's, and I have made at least 20 calls, receiving and making them, and the problem dissapered with my friend's SIM no interfereccencs no extra time for the call to start, no sudden call ends, nothing! And just for reference we are both from the same network, Meo in Portugal.
I think the problem is some kind of setting associated with my number, hope it help's you too!
Update: In my case the problem was with the network provider, it seams that the "Volte 4g" setting was dissabled in their data base for my SIM, since they solved that I had no more problems, and 2 days passed...

@Acácio Rebocho Sorry, but that’s not the problem. Samsung have already acknowledged they have a problem, and are working on a solution. Some how the phone can work without problems for a while, specially after a restart or changing SIM, but after a while the problem returns. For a short while I was thinking things was working fine after a Google service provider update, but at the end of the day everything was back to same ***** as before.
If you think you have found a solution together with your network provider you should contact them to get things confirmed before writing “some kind of setting…” what setting? How did they fix it? If you try your SIM with an other phone (not S22), you will probably find it’s working 100%.
I have done a fault search with Telenor here in Norway, and have received a service report stating that they have gone through their systems, and no problem have been found in the network.

@BrochsI'm just speculating yes, but by now I have tried the same process with another different SIM card and it works perfect as well, not even one problem as occurred with the other SIM card's and im making call's for two hours almost, so at least in my case, the problem seams to be on the side of the network provider, I Will update later.

When you try to make a call, it shows a mensage saying that call forwarding has been activated?

Search for Google Carrier Services on Play Store

After updating Carrier Services using this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.ims, problem disappeared on my end.
Tried with 3 different SIMs from 3 different providers, Telstra, Optus and Vodafone and so far no issues. Still monitoring it though as some users reported that after restarting the phone the issue reappeared to them. Not in my case.
Hopefully, Samsung releases an update soon!

It might be just that you have activated call forwarding to voicemail.
