I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.
My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.
Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

This issue will be fixed in an upcoming update.

I hope you are right. Samsung support in Ireland hasn't even acknowledged the issue exists. Same in some other countries.

In Portugal the same situation. The Samsung said will repair, after 48h using the smartphone of 1400€. Reboot every 5 minutes, no GSM signal, the apps doesn't open, I can't believe this.

Phenomenon: noun, An annoying issue that might prevent future customers from waking up to hyped advertising and hollow promises. A joke, or amusing parable. Something for rich executives to laugh about at yacht parties celebrating unpacked event successes.

I found this thread after sending my s22 for a replacement 9 workinh days tomorrow and they said it would take 10 working days max to have the replacement. Ive not heard anything from samsung not even an email to say they have recieved the device.
I think this issue is massive for samsung, i didnt have to call my carrier to activate VoLTE its always been on for me, its on right now on my 2 year old s20. It's probably on by default for majority of people. They will not experience the issue until they are in an area with bad reception.
I also had issues with mobile data dropping off while using the phone which not many users have mentioned.
Calling VoLTE a solution is completly wrong, it is a work around, people are too forgiving, you have paid over 1k for a phone that can't make calls.
I'm really questioning why I have stuck with samsung, first my s20 ultra that has 3 amazing cameras that can't focus, the snapdragon variant is faster, more efficient and it processes images better, I have the inferior exynos version, now I have issues with new s22 ultra.
