It's not the best experience at having to micro manage your phone's internal storage space.

1. Best practice is to buy a phone with as much built in storage you can afford. This helps to future proof your purchase.

I use Dropbox to back up my photo's and then can delete the photo's I no longer need on my phone.

OneDrive and other vaults are available.

I also use the optimisation tool in device care at least once a week.

Other ways to clear storage is clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

Also deleting old calendar notes , text messages and setting up your various recycle bins to delete old files.

Delete old apps, notes, photo's,  texts , videos and music and games you may no longer use.

If you perform a forum search I'm sure you'll find people's tips on how to clear storage.  👍

A last resort is a back up and factory reset. But that's in the extreme.

Further tips from various tech sites are available too.

2. Look in your Device Care Section under Battery to see what's predominantly using your battery. If there is an app using lots then you can look at it's preference settings and if needed pop it into sleep or deep sleep.

Ensure all your apps are up to date along with your phone's software.

Use the optimisation tool found in your Device care as this highlights any abnormal battery usage.

Certain ' vampire  ' apps such as Facebook etc can be looked at regarding their update frequency and preference settings.

Certain apps that use location and the frequency they update like weather , social media , emails and maps etc can be tweaked.

Tweaking how your location settings work can definitely help.

Look at how often your apps update and sync in the background.

I use Samsung Internet as I find that Google Chrome uses alot of resources.

Any Google services and other apps I don't use I force close and or disable.

If you don't use 5G then in your Settings and Connections this can be changed to use 4G / 3G / 2G.

5G uses alot of resources.

If your network connection isn't the strongest then this can use more resources as the phone works harder to maintain a connection.

Using two sims in the phone can use more power.

On some phone's turning the refresh rate down can save battery.

Screen brightness settings can be tweaked. I turn off adaptive brightness.

Again please do perform a forum search as you'll find lots of battery saving tips.

I personally prefer not to turn off functionality and settings and features I use to save on some battery life. I want to use the phone to it's full potential.

This in mind i turn off the % indicator in the phone's top status bar so I'm nkt drawn to the reading 😉

I use a UAG Kevlar Magsafe Case so also carry an Anker 321 Magsafe PowerBank just in case.

However my phone lasts typically throughout the day but as battery stats is a subjective topic your usage habit and set up will be different to that of mine.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Since the last update I had was the security patch for December after I installed the Ui6 previously my battery life has improved before then it was shocking so maybe they made some improvements, doesn't say much on the information about the update.
