One UI crashing on S22 ultra

I have had my S22 ultra for almost 4 weeks now, but I'm having occasional issues with One UI. More specifically, when I unlock my phone the lock screen freezes, making the phone unresponsive, including the power button. After about a minute or so, the screen goes black before saying that One UI crashed. Once it's crashed, it relaunches itself and everything works fine for a while, but it is extremely annoying when it freezes and there is nothing I can do but wait for it to hopefully fix itself.

I have got the latest software (including the March security patch), but it is still occuring every now and then. I can't recall ever having this happen with my S10 Plus so it is not giving me a positive experience with Samsung's new 'flagship'.

Has anyone else experienced this with the S22 Ultra, and if so, have you managed to fix it?

I'm getting pretty annoyed with this. Not a day goes by without my phone freezing and rebooting. It's been weeks so it should be fixed already. Seems like Samsung doesn't even care

They don't care indeed. All they care is selling all many of these lacking exynos version S22 Ultra as fast as possible...

Since day 1 of the s22 ultra at least once a day when I come to unlock it freezes for a good 10 seconds and then get System UI crash.

Must be a fix coming soon?

Just installed he April 1st security patch. seems to have just arrived, up here in Sweden anyway.
If this doesn't fix it, I'm probably going to sell the phone. 🤞

Thanks for the heads up, just checked and I've updated to the April security patch in the UK too. I really hope it fixes a lot of the bugs or I will not be impressed. Definitely the most disappointing new smartphone I've had.

Oh sorry my bad, assumed it was the latest update. Not had April one yet still March where I am lol.

Edit. Just checked update. 1.3gb April update incoming ...

Next time it freezes pull out the pen, then put it in again. Seemed to immediately unfreeze for me. Might have been a fluke, or maybe it's something to do with pen detection causing the freeze?
