One UI crashing on S22 ultra

I have had my S22 ultra for almost 4 weeks now, but I'm having occasional issues with One UI. More specifically, when I unlock my phone the lock screen freezes, making the phone unresponsive, including the power button. After about a minute or so, the screen goes black before saying that One UI crashed. Once it's crashed, it relaunches itself and everything works fine for a while, but it is extremely annoying when it freezes and there is nothing I can do but wait for it to hopefully fix itself.

I have got the latest software (including the March security patch), but it is still occuring every now and then. I can't recall ever having this happen with my S10 Plus so it is not giving me a positive experience with Samsung's new 'flagship'.

Has anyone else experienced this with the S22 Ultra, and if so, have you managed to fix it?

I'm getting similar. I've got the Exynos 512GB version and didn't transfer any data / settings from my old phone. As others say, it freezes on the unlock screen with a half rendered fingerprint icon. If I wait 30-40 seconds then One UI crashes/restarts and I can get in.

I've got the Exynos 512GB version and get the same thing. Lock screen sometimes freezes and you get half the fingerprint icon. I wait until I get a notification that One UI has crashed and restarted and then it works away for a few more days. Very frustrating and embarrassing if with a client. I am a Note user since Note 4, Samsung get this sorted!

Not that I'm aware of. And their silence is deafening... The longer they take to acknowledge these issues and come up with a proper solution, the more unlikely I'll trust them again with my money in the future.

Yep totally agree. I've loved all my samsung phones untill this 22 ultra. Hopefully they respond as it seams to be alot of people with same issue.

A moderator replied towards the start of my thread, but that is the one and only reply I've gotten so far.

Yes, I also saw that response which in all fairness is only adding to the bad reputation Samsung is giving itself with not testing their devices properly before release. Then just expecting customers to report issues that they could easily have reproduced by using the device for a week...

Or worse, these issues were already known before release and they just wanted to squeeze us and deal with them later, if at all.

Should we start calling them SCAMSUNG for them to acknowledge the issues we are facing?

Probably not a bad idea to call them that. My experience with my S22 Ultra so far has been disappointing to say the least. Making matters worse is the fact that once the phone is 3 weeks old you can't get a refund anymore. Just leaves a very sour taste in your mouth paying this much for a device which leaves much to be desired.
