Notifications messages staying on screen

Hi All - can anyone please advise on how to make annoying notifications on screen disappear quickly. Example: I make a change on my calendar and save the changes. A coloured box with the word 'saved' appears right over the keyboard and it takes ages to disappear making it difficult to use the keyboard. I try to send a SMS with a large file attached. A bigger box with a longer message about the size of the file appears and covers most of the keyboard lingering over forever. It's driving me mad! Please help.Thank you.

Thank you. I fiddled and don't remember what I did...should write everything down and as phones get more and more sophisticated manufactuters should provide instruction manuals!!!!

Solution: Set the 'Time to take action' in the advanced settings in Accessibility to Default.

 Try a phone search for: Advanced accessibility settings look for "Time to take action" then choose the length of time suitable for yourself.
