Even though I'm shining through the app on Netflix, tv shows and movies are very dark. There's nothing wrong with YouTube, but I can't watch a Netflix show. I talked to Netflix and he told me it was about the device. Is anyone else having this problem?

Some people have said it is due to the HDR playback, but that is not the case... The brightness slider in Netflix does nothing in my s22 Ultra. In its darkest setting, it is just as bright as in its brightest setting... And that is not bright enough... HDR or not, it acts the same way.

What is more, while Netflix is playing the s22 Ultra does not allow you to use the main brightness control of the phone, displaying a message that the brightness is being controlled by a third-party app.

I just cleared my cache using the advise in this post:
https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/S22-Ultra-Low-NETFLIX-Brightness-Dark-Video/td-p/111279...

And it fixed my problem...!!! My phone reacts to the brightness setting in Netflix!

Same thing here. The movie is barely able to see, but the subtitles in Netflix act like a torch.

I have the same problem on the new Samsung QE55QN91 TV. The problem not only concerns Netflix but also Disney+, Apple TV and Prime Video. The image during playback of materials is darkened and dimming up and down trying to correct the image. After hard turning off and turning the TV back on, Everything works ok for some time. In my opinion, there are bad HDR codecs and after reloading RAM or CASH, the TV stops working properly. Currently I'm fighting with Samsung to replace the TV under warranty they can't fix it. On older models of Samsung TVs, there is no problem at all. Replacing the motherboard and restoring the TV to factory settings did not help :/.

It is a netflix problem and dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

I have nexflix, Amazon prime and a few other streaming serices along with a plex server which has pretty much all the netflix films and series on it and the only problem i have with any of them is watching them direct through netflix. If anyone tells you different they are wrong. I will be canceling netflix and suggest you all do the same then maybe something will get done about it. like all these big companies they will do nothing untill people start withdrawing their subscrptions.
