What is the difference between Apple and Samsung displays? I've been a Samsung user since the S2, maybe even before, but I can't remember that far back.

I know someone will say that Samsung makes iPhone displays, but that's not the question.

I would like to know if you agree that Apple displays look better. I mean, their home screen always has more of a 3D/depth to it. I can never figure out what it is. Is it their icons? Their wallpaper? It just looks cool.

I thought it might be because of the flat displays, as mine have been curved since the S6 Edge.

I've tried to recreate this with an iPhone side by side with my S22 Ultra, same wallpaper and as close to the icons as I can get. The iPhone still looks like it has more depth. Any suggestions?

Their screens are relatively close. I put it down to software maybe.

It's like the wallpaper sits way back from the icons, or the icons float a bit. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Maybe its due to the UI of the iphone. Being a long time Samsung user and non Iphone person, I definetly appreciate the smoothness and flawless execution of the UI and the animations.

Samsung Display are responsible for manufacturing displays for all four models: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max

Actually Samsung makes screens for Apple devices and vice versa.

@sortitout  The displays are relatively similar, Samsung displays tend to be more dynamic  whilst's Apple's are known for  more precise calibration. screen resolution and pixel density may be a bit higher in premium  end Apple Devices, Samsung displays   though have a higher Regresh Rate and Peak Brightness is better on anything other than the pro models.

A guide to vasrious aspects of the Devices here: https://www.androidauthority.com/iphone-vs-samsung-3266172/
