After an automatic software update on my Galaxy S22, it is impossible to add a payment card to the Google Wallet app. Samsung Support ran a remote diagnosis on the device and found no errors. At the suggestion of the support assistant, I visited the official Samsung service center, where the technician tried all the settings, including a factory software update. Unfortunately, the app still doesn't work. The bank cards I want to add to the wallet work flawlessly on my other two devices (Samsung A52 and Galaxy Watch 6).

update: the A52 device has one ui update, since then adding a card doesn't work on it either

Only going from my experiences. I've had 3 cards all fail on my phone. The visa giving a network error as you described. I called them, told them my issue and they reset some things on their end and it started working. You could try using mobile data if it really is a network issue but I believe it's the bank doing something

I tried deleting the cards from all devices, including the web, but it didn't help.

Sorry to see that you're still unable to use Google Wallet on your S22, @tatilla. There's a couple of things I'd like you to try at this point, the first being to send us an Error report, so that our software engineers can receive data logs relating to the problem. This data is anonymised and only held for the duration of the investigation of the report. To do this, please click here for a handy online guide that takes you through the process.

If you are unable to send an Error report due to the Samsung Members app not loading, then I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support team. If you are in the UK you can call them 0333 000 0333, if you are in Ireland their number is 0818 717 100. Both teams are open 8am to 8pm Mon-Fri, 9am to 6pm Sat-Sun.

If you are located outside of these countries then please click here to find your local Samsung Support team.

The second step would be to contact the app developers and report your issue to them directly. Simply head to the Play Store > Search for Google Wallet and select it > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Select "App support". From here, you will be able to report your issue. Please also keep checking for any app updates, as these may solve the problem.

new info, I removed the bank cards from the a52 phone, an automatic one ui update started, and now I can't add the cards to that device either 😞

I have the exact same problem.  Ever since the last update my google wallet and google pay which has worked perfectly fine for the last two years has stopped working.  I have deleted the app and reinstalled , tried to add a new card and new passes but it doesnt work.

All I am told by samsung is that it is a google issue and contact them but it was their update that caused the change,  Also they have suggested that I try the samsung wallet.  The only difficulty is sammsung pay does not work in Ireland and never has.  I have a samsung watch and a samsung phone, the only solution I can see is to change them to either apple or google products, all of which do work.

If anyone finds a solution, please let me know as I am thinking about getting rid of a good phone and watch out of poor frustration.
