ince the One Ul 7 update, my S22 Ultra's brightness has been veering on the dark side. Not too bad indoors but it falls to get bright enough, making outside usage almost unbearable.

Previously, when I'd bring up a train ticket or other bar code in Google Wallet, the screen would be really bright but it doesn't do that anymore.

l've tried turning auto brightness on /off and used the "extra brightness" setting with no luck.

I like the new features but this big makes me want to downgrade it's that bad!

I submitted an error report so I'll just have to wait and see what they say.

Same on my S24 Ultra .... The automatic brightness is far too dark. Even if you disable the automatic brightness and slide it up to max, it is still nowhere near bright enough to use outdoors. I hope they reverse this change with the next update otherwise I'll be moving to a different brand.

Same here on a Fold 3. Even after the next update. Really annoyed by the fact that I can increase brightness manually but after a minute it turns it down to an unusable level again. Maybe worse is that the max brightness is lower. In sunlight the phone is unusable.

I found out that "extra dim" in the quick settings was turned on. No idea how it got toggle on but that fixed it.
