@sheplfc74: If you have the Google Pay app installed on your S22, then please try heading to Settings > Connections > NFC and Contactless Payments > On > Contactless Payments > Tap Google Pay to select it, and toggle on 'Pay with currently open app'. Let me know if this helps.

Same problem also here with my brand new S22: Google Pay doesn't want to use NFC with contactless payments, its says: "Your phone doesn't meet security requirements" ???
Google Pay with contactless payments worked all right in my old S21...

I've just switched to the S22 and cannot get NFC/Google Pay to work at all. Tried the suggestions in this thread but no joy. My old phone worked perfectly. I can see my cards in GPay and have NFC + Location switched on. I've uninstalled Samsung Pay as I don't want to use it. Any fixes?

I've tried everything trying to get Google Pay set up with PayPal on my new 22 ultra. I've talked to Google, PayPal, and Samsung. I'm at the point where I'm going to see if I can downgrade my phone to get one that actually works.

I am having the same issue in my new S22+. It says “not set up”. Contacted my bank, they have verified my account and card. They are escalating my case. They said no issue their end. However, I have deleted my card and uninstalled and reinstalled G pay so will have to reverify tomorrow. Contacted Samsung, they said there isn’t an issue. But there is. Found G pay great on my S7. Finding it hard to believe it is an issue on a new model. Do other people have the same issue with Not Set Up above the card. Also the card is soft in colour so it is not definitely not functioning.
