Hi all.. I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I've had my S22 U for just 1 day and I can't figure out why my PC doesn't see it.
Using a USB-C to USB-AI connevt the phone to the pc, I swipe down the noti. area, and there is the setting labled 'Cable Charging'. When I click on this It is supposed to open the 'what do you want to do' Transfer photoes, files etc.. But it instead goes to the battery page.
I have enabled USB debugging and Transferring files is selected..
Have tried a couple of different cables and a couple of different USB ports.
I've installed DEX (not sure what it is really), and that doesnt recognise when my phone is connected.
I can pair them via Bluetooth, but can only xfer files only, not folders. So music will take far too much time.
Win 11
Hope someone can enlighten me..
Thanks so much
Tracy

Ok so your having issues connecting your s22 to your comp right?? Have u dl the samsung drivers for your comp?? If not its a must and if so try again from another site you may have had a bad file. Do u have another samsung phone to try? If so try it and see and if you have tried that and its still not working try unplugging all your usb stuff by first ejecting it in the taskbar by the clock and wifi icon ect. Then restart the computer with no usb devices plugged in. Then when the comp starts and loads plug your s22 in a different usb plug than that u were using before. See if it popps up it should. Look in your notifications on the right of taskbar for anything. Look in this pc for your phone. If not go to device manager in the control panel and go to usb devices and see if its there. Alternatively you can go to printer and devices and see. If so try updating driver if not uninstall driver and find 1 that will work for win 11, thats what u have right i believe. Try this stuff and see whats up. If not get back wit me. ill get you going for sure ok...try what ive given you though its kinda of alot depending on your comp skills...lemme know ok...l8er

Hi Tracy, I don't know if you resolved this problem, but I got it today when trying to copy data from my wife's S22 using my Huawei P30 charge cable. Tried your wififtpserver but it's too slow. Luckily I got this comment on YouTube: "Try connecting to a non-usb3.0 port (usually port without SS sign). When I plugged in my S22 Ultra to PC usb3 port, I couldn't see all folders but with USB 2, all folders are showing up." So, I try connecting using my Huawei gt 2 charge cable and it work perfect.
Hope this will help anyone got the same problem.

Hi I know you found a work around, but I just had this issue and checked the USB settings (*#0808# in the dial keypad) and made sure it was MTP (or MTP+ADM) as per Support's advice followed by a device turn off for a few seconds then turned back on and it started to connect to my PC no problem again.

I was able to connet my S22 Ultra to my PC until I did the last update. They did something to the last update that disabled this feature which sucks because I was able to transfer large photo files and videos via USB to a PC that at I NEVER connect to the internet and I want to keep it that way-I dont want to connect that pc to the internet.
They have to enable that feature back and stop ruining things with the software update. I am trying to do a roll back, I dont want this update if I cannot connect my phone to PC via USB.

I tried all that stuff above and nothing worked, and I tried with 3 different laptops running different versions of Windows and also different USB cables. I was able to connect my phone with the USB cable directly to my windows laptop (one that I dont connect to the internet) to transfer folders contanjng large photos and videos files. Now after the last phone software update, that option dissapeared, it simply doesn't show that option anymore.
Besides, the above, what else do you suggest?
I'm thinking to roll back the last samsung software update on my phone.

Nope. Other people seem to have luck with odd and ends fixes, but I did not receive and help when I called in. The people on the phone at Samsung said other people have called in about the same problem, but they don't know the answer. That's why I has come here in the first place. I am just tolerating my phone until all the phone on my plan are paid off so I can go back to what I had.

The 'solve' for me, was to use my brain. My server has been down for some time, but I still use t he USB cable to charge my tablets, etc. So, like a dummy, I was trying to use that cable with my S22. DUH.....no computer. When I finally woke up and saw the light, I just plugged the phone into the laptop I am using and VOILA! Everything worked. Amazing that! BTW, that was using Windows 7 Pro. It still works fine on Windows 10 Pro.
