Fingerprint sensor on device just stopped working . No pending update, rebooted device multiple times. Anyone experiencing the same issue and is there a fix?

Yes, same. But I don't know a fix. So instead I activated face recognition. Works way better. Now no one can look at my password.

@seyLen What phone do you have? What steps have you done to try to resolve this?

S22 ultra. Ran diagnostic, checked for all software and app updates, updated apps and software, rebooted devices multiple times as suggested.

@seyLen Please wipe your finger before attempting to use the feature again. Sometimes moisture or other elements can obstruct the reading of your fingerprint. 

Do you have a screen protector, protective film or case on the device that isn't approved by Samsung? If so, please remove this as this can interfere with the fingerprint recognition sensor. Does it say your fingerprint is incorrect?

4 fingers registered and they have not been moist for the last 24 hours. Worked well with the case for past 12 months as well as protective sleeve. Just says sensor is not working. If keeps happening restart your device .

@seyLen Perform a soft reset of your device. Please press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds.

My fingerprint scan is iffy too, only works after many attempts if I am lucky, but be aware that it's not a perfect science, proven as I am the only one at work in a place of 500 employees who had to be given a pass number because i am older my prints are not clear and worn. Probably due to working in the building industry.
