Is anyone else experiencing issues with the fingerprint reader since installing the latest software update?

Could you elaborate please? Is it that it doesn't work at all or it does sometimes but not everytime? You could try rerecording your fingerprints and see if that helps, also maybe run a diagnostic test?

sometimes but not everything. I will try scanning them again

YES!  This has been supremely frustrating.  I have had the same screen protector since I got my phone, it is all clean. The latest update completely wrecked fingerprint sensor.  When I searched, I found it happened in at least one prior update as well.  Please fix this!

Not the same issue. The update from May 2025 essentially disabled fingerprint on S22.  Very frustrating. It was fine. I don't love a couple of other things about the update either, but there does not appear to be a way to roll it back.

It's the update.  Rerecording isn't the issue.

My fingerprint reader now is very unreliable since Ui7 update. So bad in fact that my online banking is being affected as it locked out due to fingerprint reader not working properly. Also my S22 Ultra stopped responding to touches but notifications kept working. Wish I could go back to UI6. Had to do a hard reset to get it back.
