Just wondering what everyone thinks who has the exynos variant of the phone? Is really as bad as what people are saying?
Still have not received my phone so I still can cancel my pre order but man I'm just getting more disappointed my every passing day with Samsung. First the delayed delivery of the phone and now I found out the exynos is under powered.

It's not a massive leap forwards from the S21 Ultra, but it's giving me better images.

I think it's great.

However, CLEARLY some people are having pretty major issues I'm just not one of them.

Camera is OK. Slightly better than S21 series. Night time photography is awful though.

I own an Exynos S21 Ultra myself guys and I LOVE the thing in every way and I just want to point out that the Snapdragon 8Gen1 versions of the S22 Ultra are having big settling in problems too with overheating and excess throttling issues and app lag heading the list.. I have to make a point and emphasize it as it is not being mentioned enough on the S22 Ultra forum; Android 12 is one of the most buggy software version updates I can remember.. My fully optimized one year old S21 Ultra is battling it well enough with only a YouTube pinch to zoom problem and a slight Judder on video playback in certain apps as my outstanding issues from the update, but it is the WORSE POSSIBLE TIME FOR A NEW PHONE TO BE RELEASED.. Especially with such a powerful chip and hardware as both versions of the S22 Ultra have. And I do mean BOTH as BOTH are having understandable settling in and optimization issues combined with android 12 problems. Yes, some people get lucky from the word go and have zero problems and their phones settle in and optimize quickly but no two phones are the same and have different apps on board and are are set up and backed up differently and are on different networks and are from different production batches etc., so each phone has it's own battle on to optimize and get to grips with Android 12 and the problems this alone is bringing. The Exynos version of the S22 Ultra is the version that I would buy myself out of the two, as it's basic thermal grounding is better than the Snapdragon version's and once fully optimized and software tuned it is this phone that will be the better performer overall long term in my opinion. Just watch how fast the batteries will degrade on the Snapdragon version if it's thermal issues are not rectified by more than rampant throttling. Yes, the Snapdragon version is being hampered by Android 12 also but my advice guys is to have faith in your Exynos S22 U's as this phone will come good with full and patient optimization and software updates but this won't happen overnight unfortunately. My S21 Ultra was an overheating battery munching monstrosity when new, but I am so glad now that I kept patience with it and allowed it to become the blazingly fast cool running powerhouse with a stunning camera it is for me today. I REALLY feel for all you guys having problems with your new phones and seeing all your initial excitement turn to sour disappointment.. It is a horrible thing. I went through all this last year myself and wouldn't really wish this feeling on my worst enemy. I sincerely wish you all the very best and hope you all end up with a phone that gives you as much satisfaction as my phone does to me. Good luck. 👍👍

I HAD the ultra exynos for 3 days, that was enough and I sent it back for refund.  I upgraded from a Note 10+ 5g and can honestly say the note seems quicker, the only improvement i could tell was the camera was very impressive, the ultra froze every day I had it and when it did work it it was laggy..  I'm so glad now I got rid as it was really starting to wind me up watching all the reviews on how the exynos chip is so inferior to the Snapdragon yet every year here in the UK we get inferior chip... oh and to top it all off even the official Led view cover case i got wasn't working either..

I really should have sussed it out when the Exynos launch was cancelled and then when it did launch there was no more bragging over the performance figures

Samsung don't even use their own chip in their own country..!!!  Speaks volumes.

It is absolutely disgusting idea of samsung, why samsungs exynos chip comes in uk and versions while samsungs home grown chips set not loved by home country?

The crappy Exynos is at fault. Slow and laggy and huge battery drain! Returned my phone! Unacceptable for 1200€!!! European customers get a middle class phone for the price of a flagship phone! I call this a scam!

It is, your impressions are correct. I own 2 exynos based phones, the S21U based on Exynos 2100, and S22U based on Exynos 2200. From experience with both phones i am fully confident that Exynos is the inferior processor.

The FACT that i PRETEND to believe you, DOES NOT mean i actually believe you.

racist discrimination from samsung to us europeans, we are not inferior people, we are not second grade people and samsung is unsulting and mocking us with this abomination exynos. I believe we should actively boycott the exynos, by not buying samsung with exynos until we are no longer discriminated and we are offered a proper snapdragon phone, and we will buy a snapragon phone.
