I havent got my device back from service, but once i get it back, i am planning to try installing esim in front of the personel and see what happens the next day.
BTW I heard the problem is with the applications usong old APIs, which might be a valid reason. If that is true, then probably setting up eSIM using QR code instead of the application integration might avoid such issues....

So I had to get a new physical simcard.
As regards the esim, I have not tried it, and probably wont try it either, as I used it for holidays. No mental energy for this 😐

that might be actually true that once you scan esim QR code instead of installing it by app, it will work. I went in May to Tunisia and installed esim from Ooredoo TN network (by scanning QR from printed paper) and it was working perfectly well. The issue happened once I purchased plan from Airalo and used install esim option instead of scanning the QR.
Anyways it would needs to be verified if that's the sole issue to this major problem which can brick your phone.

I'm having an identical issue in the US with an eSIM from a new carrier that PUK blocked my phone, as are apparently hundreds of Samsung phone users.
The Samsung phone doesn't provide a place to enter the PUK code which I got from the carrier (it only shows a phone dialer for emergency calls and an SOS icon), and the instructions on the carrier's website for entering the PUK code into the dialer and resetting the PIN don't do anything whatsoever. Multiple visits to 7 different locations, putting 500 miles on my car over a week, and having Samsung factory-reset the phone... NO ONE at either Samsung or the carrier can release or override the PUK eSIM, and I continue to be volleyed back and forth, each party saying only the other can fix it.
Because I had no phone for 4 days and no solutions, that also meant loss of two-factor authorization, blocking access to most accounts including my JOB, my bank, Google, etc. I was essentially forced to buy a new phone to just live life. Makes me wonder if this flaw is actually not a "bug" but rather a "feature". (And it's not just phones, I've also seen posts where people have the exact same problem with Samsung devices such as watches and Note tablets. Heaven forbid this error bricks a Samsung washer/dryer unit or a fridge one day!)
If anyone finds a solution, please let us know!

I installed an eSIM from Airalo for my vacation to Germany, when I got back I wanted to remove or at least disable the eSIM because I'm done using it, however every time I tried to do that, I got the "can't connect to the SIM please try again later" error. I tried everything, I was ready to take it to RMA and I reset the device to factory settings to do that, and to my surprise after a factory reset I could disable and also delete the eSIM. S21 Ultra exynos variant.
