Constant restarting of s22

I have had this phone for 6 months and have had an issue with constant restarting.

It's not down to a single app, I've logged a call, been through all the suggestions, it restarts in safe mode too.

I'm beginning to see this model as not fit for purpose, there's obviously an issue with it. The worst was it restarting whilst trying to use Google Maps for satnav in torrential rain, now I see it as dangerous.

I'm asking elsewhere,  but are others having this problem on here?

I would contact support!

Just one other thing Google map doesn't work very well in torrential rain, not because of the phone but the rain

🤣🤣🤣

This constant blaming of apps is a bit ridiculous now.

The phone was restarting whilst I was driving, several times in fact!

This phone is not fit for purpose

You say you have had issues for 6 months and have done nothing about it, can't blame anyone else

What have you done? Contacted support, run through diagnostic testing?

There is no such thing as the perfect product and issues do arise with any phone.

I'm assuming you work for Samsung....

I have logged, I was sent away to do some tests (though I'd already done them,...I work in a technical IT role...), still happening in safe mode, went through the pain of rebuilding... tried with apps, without apps...

When I buy a new phone I expect it to work end if. When I call ahain,they'll no doubt expect me to send away... and I'll have NO phone.... none of this is satisfactory and the purchase is not fit for purpose

I am currently collecting screenshots and trying to get responses from others with similar issues.

This product does not appear to be fit for purpose.

Hi, my phone S22 also keeps restarting- been over the last few days. I have tried contacting customer service. I'm going back to EE where I purchased it from.
It is really annoying 😒

@bluenose68

I've replied to your own post too.

Take a look and perhaps give the troubleshooting tips a go and or indeed take the phone back to EE as you've indicated you are going to _ good luck 🤞

Your correct to approach EE because they as the seller of the phone have a duty of care to you under the Consumer-Rights-Act-2015 to help sort your phone's issues out.

Unfortunately troubleshooting issues like this with phone's isn't always a straightforward process due to Android phones being open source meaning the amount of customisation that can be achieved and addition items like themes and icon packs and launchers that can sometimes cause conflict and that the phone's actual software and hardware can be at fault too.

And also sometimes due to issues being intermittent.

My phone has worked seamlessly from launch day however that does not in anyway mean I diminish the very real issues some people face with their phone's and the software they have loaded onto them.

Phone's can sometimes be glitchy out of the box known as a ' lemon '

@Gwilym

The people that work for Samsung are clearly shown under their forum name.

The rest of us contributing here including Samsung Makers are consumers just like you giving their own personal private time to try and help, advise and as importantly learn new content as well as discussing new products. 👍

In conclusion if a phone isn't behaving and no amount of troubleshooting helps then best practice is to go back to the seller of the phone for support.

Samsung will try to help too even if they didn't supply the phone initially.

My advice comes as a UK owner.

I hope that all those experiencing issues have them resolved ASAP.
