Bluetooth keeps disconnecting in car

Since the last software update. My phone s22 ultra constantly keeps connecting to my car and then disconnecting. I have managed to get a video, it looks like someone is constantly pressing the Bluetooth button on and off, all day long. I have called Samsung, I've done a factory reset, still got the issue. Samsung say, to clear cache on Bluetooth, but its all greyed out and unable too. Any advice before I throw it out the window. I have tried s21 and note 10+ in car, both work fine. S22 ultra all ok, till last update.

I got the same issue with my Audi A3 2017 and Galaxy S22 yesterday, after my phone updated to One UI6.

However I got it fixed using a workaround which somebody else mentioned above: Open Developer options and reduce the Bluetooth version from 1.5 to 1.4.

After I did that, my phone never disconnected from the car during calls.

Hope this helps you as well.

This disconnecting problem is definitely a Galaxy S22 problem. After blaming the VW dealer (new T-Cross since 10/2023) they suggested me to try  to connect another phone. Used the Google Pixel ansd no problem to connect wireless. let's try several bleutoooth settings. Supprising tha Samsung doens'nt react

I had the exact same problem about one year ago (connection issues with VW car), but I learned my lesson and did not install the OneUI 6.0 update.

I'm still on OneUI 5.1 and Android 13 and all works fine.

Coincidence or not, but a new Samsung Galaxy phone is about to be released and I can't help but think that this kind of bugs are a strategy to get people to buy the newest phone.

For this very reason I won't be buying a Samsung phone anymore. I'm making the switch to iPhone in September.

For my VW Tiguan'23 & Galaxy S21 5G, HPF disconnect issue was solved by latest Tiguan head unit update by dealer, from version 0320 to 0324 (HW H25, PN 3G5035820N). Several days so far, and haven't seen HFP disconnect ever.

I'm driving a Jaguar XfS so how do you expect me to do a VW update when my car isn't a VW.
Come on Samsung, fix the issue.
We all know VW have software issues, it's been going on for years, but to blame them when this issue effects my phone in my Jag or my wifes Vauxhall.

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but how do I open developer options?

Just found this thread. I really thought first was the car I reported it to the dealer. But it doesn't happen to my wife S 22+ nor my son. We drive a Toyota Rav 4. So I know it isn't be the car. So got to be the phone s21 ultra.
