I'm really disappointed in the battery life of the S22 ultra
It doesn't even last a day

I have checked all the settings
Have dark mode on
Power is optimised but still losing battery life really quickly and I've only had the phone a week!

Mine was delivered on the 21st and for the first few days, I was very disappointed with the overall performance and quite upset about the poor battery life, to the point that I was about to contact Samsung online shop and send it back.

But in the end I kept it and now I have an amazing battery life, I'm not really sure what changed.

I bought the new super fast duo wireless charging pad and I've also turned on the Power Saving, but I've left the Always On display to on.
Performance wise, I can't see any slow down or loss of fluidity overall, and I get an all day (even more) battery life.

I've attached a screenshot that I took just now - almost 8 hours of screen on time AND I also have 25% left !

@Mezzz

Please use your phone as normal and then when the battery % is low go into your phone's Device Care section and tap on tbe Battery Section.

There it will list all the apps that have been using your battery.

Please screenshot that page with also using the scroll capture so all the page is captured, and then upload that screenshot into your thread here.

In the interim here are some settings I use on my Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra 256gb.

  • I turn Off 5G via settings and connections. 5G is a battery resource hog and as I don't have 5G on my tariff it's a wasted setting and I don't need my phone searching for a 5G connection.
  • I have all my various sync schedules set to suit what I need so the phone isn't unnecessary syncing at too regular intervals.
  • Facebook is Uninstalled. I access this via my browser Url.
  • Google Chrome is a known resource hog so I have disabled this and use the Samsung Internet App.
  • Nearby Scanning is turned Off.
  • A handful of apps have been placed on Sleep and Deep Sleep mode.
  • Adaptive Brightness is Off. My Brightness is set to just around 45%
  • Like you I use Dark Mode.
  • Screen Timeout is at 2 minutes.
  • My Network Signal is pretty good so my phone isn't always having to work harder to maintain Network Connection.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Mezzz: If you have only been using your Galaxy S22 Ultra for a week, then it is likely that it is still learning your usage patterns for better optimisation. If you head to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery, and look to the bottom right of the usage graph, does it mention that it is learning your usage patterns? If so, you should expect to see an improvement to your overall battery life in the coming days.

It did say this but it doesn't anymore.

I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days. Thank you

I think the battery is amazing I get over 10 hours of on screen time with still some left can easily get 11 hours and the only thing I have done is disable some of the apps I don't use and Bixby that's itScreenshot_20220305-223525_Device care.jpg
