Hey. I have had a new S22 Ultra for about a month now. I just use it for general daily use - nothing overly intensive or power hungry. However, I cannot get a day out of this new battery. I'll wake up at a 100% charge and do some emails and read some news over my morning coffee, and that alone will use up 25-30% of my battery. Terrible!
Is this normal? My 4 year old phone prior to this, which I itonically decided to change because the battery was losing its longevity, performed no worse than this....
Appreciate any thoughts or perspective on this.
Cheers!

Unfortunately totally normal. Just look at the endless complaints in various community forums on the S22 Ultra battery issue. Folks dumping their Ultras and going back to S21 Ultras. The result is that the S22 Ultra is deeply discounted. You can buy factory unlocked for $1000 while the S21 Ultra, if you can find it, is still $1400.

I do. But I did on my phone prior too and I use it the same now as I did then too. With my prior phone I could go 2 days on a full charge when it was new. After 4 years of use I started to have to re charge it at the end of a work day. It was getting a little glitchy too, and for both those reasons I got this new phone, which from day one I have to charge at the end of the day if I want it to last me into the night. Totally unacceptable IMO....

Wish I knew that. This battery sucks....

@Ian1749: It would be beneficial at this stage to gain an understanding of the apps and features that are using the most battery on your S22 Ultra. With this in mind, please charge the device to 100%, use it as you would normally until it reaches 50%, then head to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery, then tap on the usage graph to find a breakdown of your usage. If you see an app listed towards that top that you don't use that often then tap on it, select 'Limit usage' at the bottom of the screen, then 'Put to sleep' or 'Put in deep sleep' to limit it's background activity. You can also head to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > More battery settings > Adaptive battery (On) > Enhanced processing (Off) to see if this helps.

Thanks. I did this and nothing seems too out of the ordinary. I also turned adaptive battery off, and later turned it back on, and I also turned the fingerprint alway on status to off. Whether it was just the fingerprint, or turning off and then turning back on the adaptive battery option, (which I assumes sort of resets it), it is marginally better now. Still not even close to the longevity I got from my Heuwei before this......

So did the battery of my S22 Ultra Snapdragon. It won't last a day and I never really use it like my s10. My s10 says it can last for 1 day and 16 hours but s22 Ultra can only last 22 hours if full charge but it drains so fast.
