Audio Issues since Android 13 Update

I installed the Android 13 and One UI 5 update the other day and now I have an issue with audio and video playback.

I've noticed it's even I try to change the volume while sound is playing, whether it's a video, music, a ringtone in the settings, literally any sound. The sound playing plays in like 1 second blasts. It's hard to explain but it's like a every second, on the second it plays a few milliseconds of sound, like it's skipping.

This has basically made my phone unusable for media. Anyone else experienced this or know what is causing it? I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I have the same issue on my Note 20 ultra. Can't make any video calls.

Had the issue in beta 2 release and was hoping it would be fixed in the final release.

Updated to official stable one ui 5 release yesterday and still have this issue.

Having exactly same issue and this resolves (not sure if that is accurate bearing in mind circumstances) the problem.

I have a Galaxy s20+ with the same issue.  The only solution is to turn off bluetooth and then turn it back on.  Extremely annoying and not a permanent fix.

I'm having the same issue on Galaxy Note20 Ultra, disconnecting my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic solves the problem.

Interestingly, when I reconnect my watch the audio/video is fine across all apps and system sounds UNTIL I look at a Google Nest battery doorbell notification or view the doorbells history, immediately the stuttering comes back.

Only when accessing the doorbell whilst watch is connected causes the stuttering, I have a Nest outdoor camera too and accessing this footage whilst my watch is connected makes no difference to any audio/video/system sounds, they play fine

Found a possible workaround, toggle off calls for the connected watch as per the screenshot. Worked for me, no more audio stuttering.

Of course this means no more calls on the watch. I have recently updated my watches software, it was after this I noticed the issues but didn't think this could be the root of the problem...Screenshot_20221209_185352_Settings.jpg

I have this issue as well. Volume goes up and down by itself, and sound is crackly. I've uninstalled everything since issue started, Whatsapp, few games, google assist on watch. I have checked latest updates on both phone and watch. Done soft reset on phone and watch, ( note watch is galaxy 4 ), done a hardware scan on phone and removed case. I'll keep update in this post and watch with interest for any other ideas.

Did you try turning off calls on the watch as per my post? Did it make any difference?

The same here with Flip03,  problems with sound when playing a video, sometimes no connecties with BT in car. Batteries are draining faster..
